Basic Information Page

Mount your steed and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Santa Ana River Valley. Meander down enchanting trails gracefully shaded by native California trees and plants. Ride alongside the peaceful Santa Ana River. Even see a bit of our special Norco neighborhood where almost everyone has horses in their backyard--that's why it's called HorseTown USA.
One Hour and 15 Minute Ride!
No experience necessary.
Beginners always welcome!
Regular Trail Rides:
$35 Weekdays / $45 Weekends (Holiday Rates Vary)
Note: These are "online discounts", because we pass on to you the cost savings of our highly efficient reservation system. If you choose the "stand-by" method of coming out to the ranch at the scheduled times to see if you can fill in vacant spaces, the prices are 20% higher and there is no guarantee of horses available for you.
You do NOT have to make your reservation more than 12 hours in advance. If it shows on the calendar, it's available.
We NEVER charge extra for children!
And you're always welcome to "Kiss your Horse and Tip your Wrangler"...but you don't have to, for "Promotion Rates".
It's just a simple, first-come-first-served operation on our magnificent online reservation system.
Oh, and P.S., you are SO welcome to take any photo you wish with your camera or phone--believe it or not, some places don't allow you to take your own photos! We have modern horses--they're good with all that.

Looking for quality time with your child or teen? Something to do together that you would both enjoy? Horseback riding is the answer! It is not easy to find a good, wholesome activity that you can do with your child teen that they will actually like doing. This is it!
Looking for a special way to celebrate that birthday or anniversary? A trail ride sure beats a new tie or perfume! Give the lasting gift of a new adventure.
What makes us DIFFERENT?
STANDARD LOW RATE: Our $35/$45 rate for regular rides is our "standard rate", NOT a “Promotional” rate—it is available to everyone equally, and you don’t have to do anything special or in particular to get it (you still CAN "kiss your horse and tip your guide"...but you don't have to.)
CHILDREN NEVER EXTRA CHARGE: We do NOT charge extra for children--others charge their "standard rate" ($10 extra) for children.
LONGER RIDE for that regular rate: 1 hour and 15 minutes, not just 1 hour.
YOU CAN TAKE YOUR PHONE AND YOUR OWN PHOTOS at any time before, during and after our rides. Our horses are perfectly fine with cameras and cell phones, and you are not made to accept only the photos we take of you. (Believe it or not, some places do not allow you to take your own photos!)
SINGLE FILE FOR SAFETY: We always ride "single file" FOR YOUR SAFETY. (Think about it: if it was not an issue of safety, why would we do it?) Riding side by side looks good in the movies, and you may get away with it once or several times, but it is NOT safe, and you will eventually eat dirt, unless you are an expert rider. Don't be lured elsewhere by disparaging comments about "nose to tail riding"--which is exactly how experienced riders usually ride by choice and also because the best trails are single file width (i.e., to ride "side by side" you have to avoid the best trails).
EXPERIENCE: We are BY FAR the oldest and most experienced horse rental facility in the Norco area. We have been doing this exact thing—(guided trail rides for the public—not just “in the horse business”) for more than 10 years. Others try to copy our business (and even the wording on our website!) but we’re the originals and we know what we’re doing.
DRAFT HORSES FOR BIG PEOPLE!!! Allowing people of 220-350 pounds (or anyone else who wants to) to ride a huge sturdy horse that can take your weight with ease.
MUZZLES: This is NOT a little thing. the use of muzzles is a Western Trails Exclusive. We even have to make our own because riding muzzles are not sold by anyone. This is what allows you to have a pleasant ride without your horse constantly trying to stop and eat and your wrangler sounding like a lifeguard yelling, "Keep his head up!" "Don't let him eat." There is just no reason for you to have to control that. we want you to enjoy your ride, not fight with your horse.
Don't wait for vacation--it's always a great time to go horseback riding. We are close to you wherever you live in Southern California. Centrally located between Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange Counties, we are less than an hour away from most locations in Southern California.
